Foster Family Connect exists to establish “Volunteer Communities” within local churches to support the needs of foster families. Churches are in a unique position to supply basic items like meals, babysitting, respite care, and Biblical behavioral training to deal with the circumstances that affect foster families. The support provided by a Volunteer Community from their local church reduces the stress experienced by foster families, allowing them to continue in the foster care system for longer periods of time. This in turn increases the homes
available to care for the growing number of children in foster care.
